THOUSANDS OF SPEEDING CHARGES LAID OVER THE LONG-WEEKEND
8/11/2017 6:39:17 AM

Now that another weekend is upon us, police are hoping drivers travel with a little more patience.

Last weekend, more than 8500 charges were laid province wide by the OPP including 400 for disobeying the move over law and 5500 speeding charges.

Sergeant Kerry Schmidt is reminding all motorists that speed has been a contributor to many unnecessary deaths on our roadways this summer.

Locally, Peterborough County OPP laid 50 speeding charges over the course of the long-weekend.
