DICKINSON WINS UNITED WAY SCHOLFIELD AWARD

The United Way of Peterborough and District unveiled the 2017 recipient of the Scholfield Award for Community Distinction. Faith Dickinson creator of "Cuddles for Cancer" was the big winner. In the four years since its inception, the 15 year-old has hand made over 3,000 cuddle blankets to help stave-off the cold that children who are going through treatment experience. Faith started her initiative when a family member was undergoing cancer treatment

     Faith has also developed a signature Soldier blanket for men and women serving overseas or returning from service with PTSD.
