Andrew Watson is guilty of killing Lise Fredette in November of 2014 according to a jury.

After 5 hours of deliberation, the verdict was read out this afternoon at a Peterborough courtroom.

Ms Fredette went missing after leaving her job at the north end Walmart, and just days later, Watson was arrested as a result of her disappearance and charged with First Degree Murder and Criminal Harassment. According to reports, the Judge told Watson that the road is over for him, and that if he had a heart he should speak and put closure to this so the family can lay her to rest properly, in which Watson replied by saying no thanks.

The Judge before adjourning for the day reportedly told Watson that he is a completely, utterly empty vessel, concerned with only one thing, himself. Stephane Leblanc, Ms Fredette's son says he was happy for the verdict but still needs to find the remains of his mother to bring closure to this case

Detective Mike Self with the Peterborough Police Service says that the investigation may have ended but the search continues

Everyone is reminded to keep their eyes peeled for anything suspicious as the search for his mothers remains continues. Watson will be back in court Monday for sentencing.
