The NHL Central Scouting Service has put out its annual mid-term rankings and the Petes are well represented. Four current members of the team were mentioned among North American skaters including: Zach Gallant (71), Matyas Svoboda (166th), Nick Isaacson (168th) and Cole Fraser (206th).

There is a growing desire to call Trent University home for prospective students. The school has announced it had an increase of 17.4 per cent in applications from high school students, which was the biggest spike in Ontario for the second straight year.

CONSTABLE ENTERS GUILTY PLEA FOR IMPAIRED DRIVING

A Peterborough Police officer who was found asleep in his vehicle on Chemong Road in December has pleaded guilty to an impaired driving charge. The Peterborough Examiner reports 31 year-old Constable Brock Boynton entered the plea yesterday in the Ontario Court of Justice on Simcoe Street.
