OFFICIALS ID MAN ACCUSED OF CALLING IN BOMB THREATS

The man who police in the City of Kawartha Lakes believe is responsible for a slew of bomb threats has been identified at 36 year old Joshua Kimble of Coboconk. He is charged with 5 counts of mischief, uttering threats to property, and conveying a false message.

VERBAL ALTERCATION LEADS TO WEAPONS CHARGES

A Peterborough teen is facing a slew of charges following a mid afternoon scuffle. At around 2:30pm yesterday afternoon, a verbal altercation began between two males and another group of males in the area of Wolfe and Rubidge.

POLICE REMIND PARENTS OF PROVINCIAL CURFEW

Police officials all across the province are reminding parents about a provincial curfew law that not many people are aware exist. Ontario's 'Child and Family Services' Act is in place to ensure children under the age of 16 aren't out roaming the streets after midnight.

MP RUDD TO HOLD MORE TOWN HALL MEETINGS

Two more Town Hall-style meetings have been scheduled by Northumberland-Peterborough South MP Kim Rudd. The first on postal banking will be held Tuesday night in Campbellford while the other on climate change will take place in Cobourg next Thursday.

A couple of people were hurt in a crash that took place near the Memorial Centre. Just before 5 o'clock yesterday, two-vehicles collided at Lansdowne and Lock streets.

ARCHITECT FIRM RELOCATES DOWNTOWN

There is going to be a change in location for Lett Architects. The firm, which currently employs 10 people, is moving from King Street to Simcoe Street, right next door to the Bank of Montreal. The firm was founded in the late 1960's and moved to Peterborough from Toronto in 1995.

A new state-of-the-art clinical learning space and health care simulation lab has officially opened for students at the Trent/Fleming School of Nursing. The space was officially opened yesterday.
