POLICE INVESTIGATE AN EARLY AFTERNOON HOME INVASION

Police are continuing to investigate a home invasion at a High Street home yesterday afternoon. Just after the noon hour, a male and female were assaulted by two unknown males, the male victim was treated in hospital with minor injuries.

Northumberland-Peterborough South MP Kim Rudd says her Facebook page is now secure. A number of posts and "likes " appeared on her account in what she suspects was a hacking attempt. Rudd says the items posted did not reflect her views or opinions.

The Peterborough sporting community is taking time to remember an icon. EXTRA 90.5's John Badham died yesterday at the age of 79 following a battle with cancer. Petes' General Manager Mike Oke was a guest on the Tailgate Show before last night's game against Ottawa.

MILLBROOK COMPANY HOSTS TOY DRIVE

A construction company in Millbrook is getting into the giving spirit. Eagleson Construction has launched a campaign to collect toys for children at Sick Kids in Toronto. It's estimated that so far about 100 gifts have been donated.

MORE INFORMATION EXPECTED TODAY ON HIGH STREET INCIDENT

We're still waiting to find out more details about police activity along High Street. Yesterday, officers were called in around the noon hour after what has been described as a violent home invasion. One person was taken to hospital with undisclosed injuries.

The truth about blood is that yours could save a person's life. That line was critical to people like myFM's Megan Murphy, who saw the importance of giving blood first-hand. Murphy's niece had gone through a 16-hour surgery and during that time she recieved numerous blood transfusions.
