A major grant is paving the way for Trent University to offer an online graduate program. The school recently received over $540,000 from eCampus Ontario to see the development of a new online professional Masters program in Environmental Monitoring and Assessment.

Peterborough Police are putting the warning out about a new fraud circulating through the area. Late last week, an elderly resident received an email stating he would get $100,000 if she sent more $1,150 dollars to the Bill Gates Fund.

SUDDEN DEATH APPEARS TO BE NON-CRIMINAL IN NATURE

A sudden death in Peterborough appears to be non-criminal in nature and there will be no further police involvement. Emergency crews were called in around 9:40 last night, after a deceased female was found in the Hunter and Ashburnham area.

You will be getting a chance to give your input on changes to the city's Official Plan. At last night's meeting, city councillors voted to update the plan at a cost of just under $330,000. The money is going to be spent on staff and public engagement meetings.
