MALE ARRESTED IN RUBIDGE STREET INVESTIGATION

A police investigation on Rubidge has come to an end. Authorities aren't giving much information except to say that a lone male has been taken into custody by the Emergency Response Team based on the strength of an arrest warrant and a domestic assault charge.

COKL POLICE LOOKING FOR STOLEN RIMS/TIRES AND LAY SEX ASSAULT CHARGES

A 36 year old man is accused of sexual assault. Earlier this month, police in the City of Kawartha Lakes began investigating after a 15 year old female told them that she was sexually assaulted. Investigators discovered that the teen was involved in a two year relationship with the accused.

EARLY MORNING RAID TAKES DRUGS AND WEAPONS OFF THE STREET

Weapons and drugs were seized following a drug raid on King Street in Lindsay early this morning. At around 6am, police executed a search warrant and uncovered $4000 worth of marijuana, $1200 in cocaine, pills and 5 knives, and 1 can of bear spray and a collapsible baton and $900 cash.

BREAKING: MAJOR INVESTIGATION UNDERWAY ON RUBIDGE NEAR GE

City police are currently conducting a police investigtion on Rubidge between Dahousie and Wolfe and the Emergency Response Team has been deployed. Police are URGING residents to stay away from the area while the investigation continues, and more information will be released later.

58 YEAR-OLD MAN CHARGED FOLLOWING INCIDENT AT LCBO IN APSLEY

A 58 year-old man is facing charges after an incident at an LCBO in Apsley. Peterborough County OPP say yesterday afternoon, officers were called when a man, who was apparently drunk, brought his dog into the store, was asked to leave and then threatened an employee before getting on to his ATV.

ARRESTS MADE IN TWO SEPERATE CHURCH BREAK INS

A man and woman are in court today, accused of targeting churches during a crime spree. After investigating a break in to the Mercy of God Ministries Church on Simons Avenue Monday night. The duo are accused of stealing cash and causing $1900 dollars damage to a door and safe.

PETERBOROUGH COUNTY OPP LOOKING INTO HOPE MILL BREAK-IN

Peterborough County OPP is looking into a break-in, in the Hope Mill-area. Yesterday, someone forced open a side-door of the home and stole some personal items sometime between 10:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. There was nobody was home at the time and at this point, there are no leads on suspects.

For 60 years now, CHEX Television has been a major part of the Peterborough community. Former newscaster Len Arminio joined Peterborough Morning Drive today and says working at a unique station like CHEX always came with big responsibilities.

PUCK READY TO DROP ON GASKELL MEMORIAL CUP

A couple of special athletes with ties to the Peterborough-area will be honoured this weekend at the 4th annual Gaskell Memorial Cup. The tournament honours local athlete Kirk Gaskell, who lost his life to leukemia at the age of 34.
