The Peterborough Humane Society is putting out the word that they are in need of help from the public. The Society says they are in need of cat food, specifically wet and dry kitten food.

JAIL TOUR POSTPONED

A fundraising tour of one of Peterborough most historical places has been put on hold. Residents were invited to buy tickets and tour the former County Jail this Thursday, but the County has announced that the tour will not go as planned, but will be rescheduled for sometime in the spring.

CITY POLICE SEARCH FOR SUSPECTS AFTER BREAK-IN AT ST. PAUL'S ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

A break-in at a local school has City police searching for suspects. Investigators say sometime between 7:30 on Friday night and 7:30 yesterday morning, a projector, lap top computer and a number of net book computers were stolen from a locked portable at St. Paul's Elementary School.

A PAIR OF PETERBOROUGH MEN CHARGED FOLLOWING VEHICLE STOP

Two Peterborough men have been arrested in connection with a drug investigation. City police say during a vehicle stop on The Parkway last night, officers seized 24 Fentanyl patches, two grams of cocaine and five Percocet tablets. Charged are: 25 year-old Kyle Sears and 28 year-old Luke Madge.

A stabbing at a west-end apartment has led to a pair of arrests. City police say yesterday morning, officers were called after a 30 year-old man was reportedly stabbed during a domestic situation.

A 47 year-old man is facing charges in Lindsay after about $3,000 in crack cocaine was seized. An officer noticed Peter Lynn Jackman operating a vehicle in a Durham Street parking lot yesterday afternoon.

A rare bad result at home for the Cobourg Cougars. Curtis Hodgins' squad was beaten by the Buffalo Jr. Sabres 5-4 last night, dropping their record to 12-4 on the season. Ryan Taylor had a hat trick in the losing effort. The Cougars are off until next Monday when they play at home against Aurora.

Trent golfers will have some work to do on Day 2 of the OUA golf championships in Oshawa. Mitch Simmons is the top Excalibur, sitting in 21st spot, firing a 76. Liam Murray is also competing and is in a tie for 35th.
