Three people are facing drug-related charges following a massive bust by Peterborough County OPP. Yesterday, officers seized $120,000 in drugs while searching homes on King George Street and Armour Road in the city, while also another residence in the Township of Highlands East.

CITY POLICE SEARCH FOR SUSPECTS IN PARK STREET SOUTH BREAK-AND-ENTER

Members of the public are being asked for their help in tracking down suspects connected to a break-in on Park Street South. City police say last Wednesday, culprits gained entry to the home, drank a quantity of alcohol and left.

PETES' TO HONOUR CHRIS PRONGER BEFORE GAME ON NOVEMBER 2ND

One of the Petes' greatest players is going to have his banner hung at the Memorial Centre. A ceremony will be held prior to a game on Sunday, November 2nd against Barrie to honour Chris Pronger. The Dryden-native had 194 points in 155 games in two seasons with Peterborough.

Two Lindsay residents have been arrested after City of Kawartha Lakes Police seized three pounds of marijuana. Officers made the discovery at a home on Glenelg Street.

PETERBOROUGH GOLFER FIRES HIS WAY INTO CONTENTION AT OCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS

A local golfer made an impressive move up the leaderboard on Day 2 of the OCAA Championships at Wildfire. Peterborough-native Cole Kent, who goes to Humber College, rose to 5th place by firing a 2-under-70.

CHIEFS POUND GEORGINA FOR SECOND STRAIGHT OUTING

For the second straight game, the Lakefield Chiefs' offence proved way too much for Georgina. Patrick Young, Eric Oosting and Hunter Hotrum all scored twice for the Chiefs en route to an 8-2 thrashing of the Ice. Between the pipes, Kevin Collins made 17 saves.

LOCAL CHEFS COMPETE IN 2ND ANNUAL 'IRON CHEF MARKET CHALLENGE'

A new 'Iron Chef' in Peterborough will be anointed at the Downtown Farmers' Market. Beginning at 10:30 this morning in the Louis Street Parking Lot, local chefs will be given 90 minutes to create a seasonal dish on-site that will be sampled by guest judges.

TWO TEENS ON THE LOOSE FOLLOWING A BREAK-IN ON ST. MARY'S STREET

The hunt is on for two teen boys who police believe broke into a St. Mary's Street home early Sunday morning. The duo is accused of going into a garage through an unlocked door at around 2:00 a.m. and taking off with two bikes and a bottle of liquor. The value of the theft is around $950.
