HABITAT FOR HUMANITY RECEIVES FUNDING FROM TELECARE LINDSAY

Another project is on the horizon for Habitat for Humanity Peterborough & Kawartha Region. The organization will received $120,000 in funding from Telecare Lindsay to support the construction of a multi-home development on Hamilton Street in Lindsay.

OVER $20,000 IN DAMAGE DONE DURING CEMETERY MISCHIEF

More than a dozen monuments have been damaged at Little Lake Cemetery and City police are trying to track those responsible. Officers say the mischief took place sometime during the early morning hours on Saturday at the location on Haggart Street.

HIGH SCHOOL HOCKEY ROUND-UP: ST. PETER'S BEATS UP ON I.E. WELDON

It was a very impressive effort for St. Peter's in high school hockey action. The Saints boys' team blanked Lindsay's I.E. Weldon 8-0 yesterday. Meanwhile, Lindsay Collegiate didn't fare any better. L.C.V.I. was thumped by Campbellford District 10-0.

PETES' MATT SPENCER NAMED TO TEAM CHERRY FOR TOP PROSPECTS GAME

The upcoming Top Prospects Game in St. Catharines will have some Peterborough flavour. Petes' defenceman Matt Spencer will play for Team Cherry at the event on January 22nd. Spencer has scored two goals and has 13 assists so far this season.

'GIVING TUESDAY' EXCEEDS GOAL BY OVER $40,000

'Giving Tuesday' was an overwhelming success for Trent University. In honour of the school's 50th anniversary, the goal was to raise $50,000 in 50 hours. President, Dr. Leo Groarke, says Trent was able to raise $91,056 thanks to some real teamwork.

SNOFEST 2015 EXPECTED TO BE BIGGER THAN EVER
