CREWS PUTTING FINAL TOUCHES ON FOUR MONTH BOBCAYGEON ROAD PROJECT

It's been a long four months of work, but crews are finally putting the finishing touches on the $1.3 million Bobcaygeon storm sewer and urbanization project. The work was done to install a new storm sewer system and to upgrade curbs, gutters and sidewalks on Front Street East and Anne Street.

FAMILY FEUD LEADS TO TWO ARRESTS

A father and daughter have both been charged with assault, after a fight inside their home on Saturday. Kawartha Lakes Police responded to the home on Vimy Road and found the daughter with injuries to her face. She was treated for those in hospital and released.

LINDSAY MAN CHARGED WITH ASSAULTING GIRLFRIEND

A night out in Lindsay led to a fight between a couple and eventually, assault charges on Sunday. Kawartha Lakes Police say the couple was walking home through Rivera Park, after drinking at a local bar when they got into a fight, causing the woman to run away and call for help.

CKL POLICE CRUISER INVOLVED IN NEAR MISS WITH DRUNK DRIVER

A close call for a City of Kawartha Lakes Police officer on Sunday has led to charges for a Lindsay man. Authorities say a car nearly crashed into a cruiser on patrol, forcing the officer to conduct a traffic stop.

THREATENING CALLS LEAD TO ARREST IN CKL

A Lindsay man has been arrested after allegedly leaving threatening messages on a womans voicemail. Exact details of those threats weren't made public, but Kawartha Lakes Police say the victim made her report sometime on Sunday.

CASH, CONSTRUCTION TOOLS, AND JEWELS STOLEN IN WALLIS DR BREAK IN

Police are on the hunt for the culprits who broke into a Wallis Drive home last Wednesday afternoon. Sometime between 1:20pm and 2:00pm, someone gained entry to the home through an insecure sliding door while the homeowner was away.

POLICE CHARGE 22 YEAR-OLD MAN WITH IMPAIRED DRIVING

A 22 year-old man has been arrested and charged following a collision near The Parkway and Crawford Drive. Late Friday night, Peterborough police were called after a vehicle crashed into a ditch on the west side of the road.
