ARRESTS MADE IN TWO RECENT INCIDENTS OF THEFT AND ASSAULT

A 36 year old Peterborough man has been arrested as a result of a robbery investigation. It's alleged that the suspect broke into a McDonnel Street apartment at around 3am on Tuesday and was involved in a physical altercation with a man in his 50's who he knows.

MAN AND WOMAN CHARGED IN DRUG INVESTIGATION

A man and woman are facing drug charges. On Wednesday, the Peterborough Police Drug Unit began investigating reports that drugs were being trafficked in the city. Later in the evening, the suspects were picked up in the area of Lansdowne and Sydenham Road.

It's a great day to go for a dip and there are a number of choices in the area on where to go for a swim. Peterborough Public Health has revealed its weekly list of beach testing results, and has determined that Ennismore is the only beach posted as unsafe.

The OLG has handed over another big cheque to Cavan Monaghan Township. The township received its first-quarter payment for hosting Shorelines Slots at Kawartha Downs, equaling $806,572.

A Peterborough man is facing charges as a result of an assault investigation. On Tuesday morning, a 74 year old man was riding his bike in the area of Erskine Avenue when he became involved in an argument with the driver of a truck.

WARSAW SWING BRIDGE CLOSED

The Warsaw Road Swing bridge is being shut down for 24 hours starting today. Construction is being done to the Parkhill Road East bridge starting at 7 o'clock today until 7 o'clock tomorrow morning. Officials say that both vehicle and pedestrian traffic will be affected.
